Together with Tory Burch, Mr. Burch has founded many internationally recognized brands. In 2012, he appeared to have decided to venture into the hospitality industry after partnering with James McBride, a successful hotelier, and buying a beach hostel located in Indonesia’s Sumba Island. McBride and Burch invested a total of $30 million in remodeling the establishment.
