Only recently The New York Times did a story on the stunning donation made by Hungarian-American hedge fund manager and billionaire Mr. George Soros to his charity organization. The donation involved a transfer of over $18 billion from Mr. George Soros’ private fund to his charity organization, Open Society Foundation. Analysts have termed this act as one of the biggest transfer of wealth from a single individual to another charity organization. They go further to deduce that it is second in the world coming just a single position behind the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which happens to be the largest in the world. Open Society Foundation is a charity organization whose main objective is to promote and defend human rights and democracy all over the world.
