It is often said that a man with vision will have no lack of direction. The same can be said of Dr Rod Rohrich, one of the best plastic surgeons in America. Come early next year, he will be attending three surgery-themed conferences.
First is the 52nd yearly Baker Gordon educational symposium. The conference will be held in Miami between February 8th to 10th of the year 2018. The Baker Gordon symposium dates back to about five decades ago and is currently the largest, live surgery conference in the United States. It is a great avenue for reflection on how interest in cosmetic surgery has evolved over the years and the technological advances in the field. The symposium first started when Thomas Baker invited Salvador Castanares and Thomas D. Rees, both cosmetic surgery innovators to share their expertise and train surgeons present from all over the United States by performing live surgeries. Dr Rod Rohrich is therefore one of the esteemed faculty for next year’s edition of the symposium.
Secondly, he will be attending and chairing the 21st annual Global Dallas Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine Meeting. This meeting organised by the internationally renown expert will take place on February 28th – March 1st. At the meeting, Dr Rohrich gathers world class faculty that will give lectures on the latest innovations in skin tightening, lasers, dermal fillers, IPL, vaginal rejuvenation, non-invasive fat removal and other topics relating to skin therapy, patient safety and ethical social marketing. Also, like the Baker Gordon symposium, it will feature the newest techniques and advances cosmetic surgery has undergone.
Immediately after the Cosmetic Medicine Meeting, Dr Rohrich will be attending and chairing another conference on the 2nd and 3rd of March, 2018. It is the 35th annual Dallas Rhinoplasty Meeting. At this meeting, world leaders in Rhinoplasty gather to discuss common rhinoplasty problems, revision rhinoplasty and the most recent developments in rhinoplasty surgery.
Additionally, Dr Rod Rohrich is a Plastic surgeon based in Dallas and a professor of Plastic surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Centre. A quick look at his educational background shows he bagged high honors in all his degree programmes. Little wonder his proficiency in his discipline which has accorded him numerous titles like the Crystal Charity Ball Distinguished Chair in Plastic Surgery from 1993 – 2014 and the Betty Waren Woodward Chair in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 1999-2014 to mention a few.
