When Jason Hope grew up in Tempe, Arizona, he developed a fierce passion for technology. He understood advances in technologies were going to transform humanity, and also offered the best chance for aspiring entrepreneurs to make a difference in the world. He was not a scientist or engineer himself. However, he could promote technological advances as a businessman, using them to create products and services that would help people, so they would pay for them. This would spread the acceptance and use of those products and services, benefiting everybody.

Therefore, Hope earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University, then went on to get an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business there. He leapt into technology, founding a company based on mobile communications. Hope realized mobile would be the future of personal and business communications, and would also replace the computer for many people. Hope continues to devote his time to technology, recently helping to publicize the Internet of Things. He also spends time on shaping politics in Arizona and around the world to promote the cause of business.

Hope appreciates the financial abundance his success in the world of business and mobile communications has brought to him. He wants to give back those benefits to the people of Arizona and all humanity. And, as someone with a passion for technology, Hope continues to study and promote the future, especially in the field of biotechnology and anti-aging research.

In 2010, Hope donated $500,000 to the SENS Research Foundation. SENS stands for Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence. It’s a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the greatest killer disease of humanity, old age itself. The founders of SENS want to eradicate old age and even death from the experience of humanity. It’s located in Mountain View, California. It was co-founded in March 2009 by Keven Perrott, Michael Kope, Jeff Hall, Sarah Marr and Aubrey de Grey, with de Grey as the most visible figure. SENS conducts medical research aimed at discovering how to prevent and reverse the causes of aging, and publicity aimed at winning support for its work. In more medical terms, SENS aims to discover how to repair “living cells and extracellular material.” It promotes the goal of using regenerative medicine to make people young and healthy for an indefinite time period. This is different than the focus on relieving specific diseases which mainstream geriatric medicine concentrates on.
