Leading the way with her ground-breaking approach to advertising for more than a decade, Lori Senecal is known for her leadership and strong emphasis on talent.
She has developed strategic partnerships, started inventive and novel business groups and sponsored global agency growth.
Senecal shared how she got her start in the advertising business in an article found at http://inspirery.com/lori-senecal. She said her inspiration was brought about by her days in high school as a gymnastics coach where she learned to put goals in place.
The experience also helped her build leadership qualities as the minute she became a leader it was then difficult to be a follower.
According to Senecal coaches go all out to do their best and to generate a sense of compassion, both of which are crucial in the advertising industry.
In a report by NY Times, she also credited her years as a coach during times she doubted whether or not she would succeed as she was able to give attention to how a plan would work rather than whether it would work.
Senecal shared that by knowing both the internal and external aspects about a new business before they become a client is one marketing strategy that works well for her.
She also drew attention to the progress advertising and marketing technology has achieved and how the Internet continues to revolutionize what’s ahead for the industry.
According to Senecal securing a client or two that have something valuable to advertise is the initial step in becoming profitable as well as having a belief in the power of creativity.
In her current position as Global Chief Executive Officer at CP+B (Crispin Porter + Bogusky), Senecal manages the company’s global growth, development and expansion.
During her career Senecal held the position of Global Chairman and CEO of Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal & Partners (KBS) and President and CEO at MDC Partners. She also served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive President of McCann-Erickson Worldwide’s New York office.
